CEO Freeman White to Teach Workshop on Funding Options for Social Good Organizations

The General Assembly and Social Innovators Collective will launch their workshop series, Building High Impact Nonprofits and Social Enterprises: Five Steps to Financial Sustainability, on Tuesday, October 16th.  The classes, designed for both startup and emerging changemakers, teach the essential building blocks that social change organizations need in order to grow sustainably.

Each class is taught by top professionals in their field. The first workshop of the series, Funding Your Social Good Organization, will be instructed by Launcht CEO Freeman White.  The workshop will address how social enterprises and nonprofits can grow their business in the first two years without significant angel investment or venture capital funding.  More specifically, the class will cover and compare crowdfunding, competition grants, friends and family funding, bootstrapping, and self-funding strategies.  Students will learn which method would work best for their business or nonprofit and be able to prepare a pitch and plan of action.

The workshop will be held on October 16th, from 8-9:30PM at the General Assembly in New York City.  Click here for more details and registration.
